Patients are not discharged from hospital until their wound is sealed and dry.

There should be no requirement for a dressing on the wound after discharge from the hospital.

Dissolving sutures are used, so there is no need to have any sutures or staples removed.

Patients are able to shower or bathe normally, and allow the wound to become wet.
