About Anterior Hip QLD
Our commitment is to provide the highest quality treatment for our patients.
Dr Freeman is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon in Queensland, with wide general experience, but a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery.
His practice is based on providing the highest quality surgery and service, encompassing preparation prior to the surgery, performing the surgery and ensuring optimal recovery following surgery.
After a thorough assessment Dr Freeman will advise whether surgery is appropriate for your condition. If surgery is required, the prosthesis will be chosen for your particular requirements from a range of prostheses, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome for each individual patient.
Dr Freeman has been, and continues to be, involved in instrument development for hip and knee replacement surgery.
He closely monitors design materials and techniques, and implements only those which have proven to be safe and reliable improvements.
Dr Freeman has given talks at meetings in the USA, Canada, Chile and Australia.
He has attended more than 60 meetings in the last 20 years to ensure he is aware of all recent developments, not only of new techniques but also problems which have been identified with prior techniques or implants. Attending the Orthopaedic meetings allows Dr Freeman to discuss new techniques and instruments with international specialists, which is important to his understanding the limitations, and thus avoid problems, with new developments. This in turn permits him to consider many important aspects before advising patients regarding surgical procedures and implants.
Dr Freeman has performed more than 10,000 operations.
Complications result in greater recovery time, suffering and cost to patients. Therefore quality and experience should be an important factor when a patient chooses a surgeon.
